Happy Summer

Year End Stuff

Monday = Locker Clean out.
Tuesday = Field Day. Wear Shorts and t-shirt. If you brought permission for the dunk tank you need to bring a change of clothes.
Thursday = Awards ceremony
Friday = Dismissal is at about 9:00 AM, Report Cards will be sent home. No bookbags, gym bags etc.

We are presently reading, Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. No online text is available but many online activities are available and can be found by searching for "Number the Stars".

Next Log Check

The next log check to ensure that you have read 15 or more steps will not be held until May 2. (Two Weeks) Remember that you are to be reading 2 steps at night for homework. Rewards for this will start very soon.

100 Book challenge Easter Reward


On Wednesday, April 20 we will have a special reward for all students who have either completed 390 total steps this year or have completed 15 or more steps during the week of April 11-18. The log check on Monday April 18 will determine eligibility.

End of 2nd Quarter (revised)

As of Today, the Second Quarter will end on Friday, January 28. Any snow days will extend the marking period one day for each.

Tests

On January 25 we will have our last two tests of the quarter. 5 question multiple choice test on All Summer and a Day. 15 Question matching test on Language of Literature Terms.

End of the 2nd Quarter


The end of the 2nd quarter is scheduled for Monday, January 24. (Add a day for each snow day between Thursday and then as needed.) Each test will be short. Test 1. 5 comprehension question on "All Summer in a Day." Text can be found in your text book as well as along the right hand margin of this blog. Test 2. 15 question matching of the Literary terms. List of these terms are found on the Quizlet a few posts ago.
